6 weeks this Friday!

Where does time go! Hanna will be 6 weeks Friday. Will and I can really tell that she is growing especially being away from her during the days. She has had some great babysitters over the past several weeks. Will and I can't express our gratitude. We are really blessed for the help and her health.

Maybe Will and I can't plan our days at this time but at least we can pick out our future babysitters. We figure if we introduce them now then they can grow together. :)

Hanna's Cousins Come for a Visit

Hanna had a big weekend with her grandparents, aunt, and cousins. Everyone enjoyed holding her until it was time to change the dirty diapers. First Aunt Addie was asked if she wanted to a turn. "Oh NO" she said, "I only burp babies."


Then Elise and Ali were asked if they would change Hanna's diaper.

"AHHH!! No way" Ali said.

"I don't know how to, but after you change it then we can hold her, so hurry up" Elise said.

So Will and I proceeded with our duty for Hanna.

"Oh Hanna, that's bad."

"It's okay Hanna, now you can hang out with the big girls."

So Hanna returned to her relatives ready for action.

Then Elise and Ali asked if they could take the pictures. Sure, why not. Well this is what I found.

Hanna loves her cousins and hopes they can come back really soon. It was cute watching Will with the girls and he now has the name of "Uncle Popcornmaker." You see when Elise and Ali went walking in the woods by Will's tree stand they saw Will's deerfeeder that they thought looked like a popcorn maker. When they came back in the house the first thing they told me was, "the only person that would be eating popcorn in the deerstand is Uncle Will so his name is Uncle Popcornmaker."
We miss them already!!! Don't cry "Squeaky," they will be back.

This week has been crazy! But I've been told that crazy is normal when you have children. Will has been sick for the past several days and now that he is feeling better I am getting sick. Poor Hanna, her parents immune systems are becoming weak. I'm sure it's not due to all the running around that is going on.
Hanna is so excited that she barely slept last night, oh wait, that is every night. Her 2 cousins are coming to see her this weekend. They are my older sisters 2 girls Elise and Ali. Hanna said she will make sure we take lots of pictures to share with ya'll.

If only I could do this. She must have learned this one from Will. :)

Encouraging daddy through his career.

Last night Will and I had a c-section call on a dog so Marty came over at midnight, thank you Marty. Hanna was able to continue her regular routine throughout the night but Will and I were dragging this morning so Hanna had to go to Marty's this morning with her slippers on. She says her bunnies make her faster at keeping dad and mom "hopping" to her every need.

We were literally swimming in our sleep!

Yes it happened last night. It was about 4:30 am and Hanna thought it was time to get up but I wanted to sleep for at least 1 more hour. Will was sound asleep so I laid Hanna in between him and myself. Well it wasn't 15 minutes and I was awakened by Hanna fussin and the feeling of wetness on my arm and shirt. I then quickly realized that Hanna and I were laying in a puddle of pee. Yup, she found a way to keep me awake. So she got her way and we ended up on the rocking chair until it was time to get ready to go to Marty's. She was wide awake and looking around at the big world. I'm thinking about placing 2-3 diapers on her tonight. :)

Hanna's Pups

If anyone is wondering what Hanna's pups look like these are them. They are very well behaved, unless it's feeding time and they drive us crazy until we feed them. The yellow one loves her and can't understand why we won't let him taste her with his tongue. Hanna is not too sure of them yet, and actually I don't think she knows they exist. She knows how to eat, sleep and make messes in her diaper. But she is now trying to do push ups so she can be stronger than her daddy. She is also very good at staying awake when dad and mom are wanting to go to sleep, but since we miss the days with her we don't mind the nights. So if you think we look ruff and are lacking sleep, you win the prize.

Here's the sweet little girl who makes her mom and dad run late for work and school. Thank goodness there are understanding people around us. But as long as she is happy then we are happy.

Hanna's Doctor Appointment

Today was Hanna's 2 week check up (actually she will be 3 weeks Friday) but she let me and the doctor know that she did not approve of what we were making her do. Her doctor is very thorough and Hanna should appreciate that she is just making sure she is a healthy little girl, at least that's what I told her, but she hurt my feelings by screaming back her disapproval. This was the first appointment I didn't have Will's help and oh my gosh thank God for Will. Hanna screamed when I had to undress her and screamed louder when we was weighed and measured. I was about in tears at this time.
Anyway..... Our little girl weighs 9 pounds 5 ounces; measures in at 21 inches; has a normal head size ( I guess that's from Will); and appears to be good to go. She gained 13 ounces in a week, that girl is growing like a little puppy. And best of all...I talked to my younger sister a little while ago and she gave me her approval that she looks perfect and we don't have to put her back because she is not what she calls " an ugly baby." HAHA Oh my gosh, is there such a thing???? I haven't seen one.

After visiting her family, she had to take a long deserved nap.

Will is back at school and the clinic calls me so Ms. Hanna has to stay with some of our friends and her Grandma ( wait she is to be called "Marty" : ) ) over the next few weeks. I wish we could stay home with her but life calls and her education tuition will be here in no time. So... to help pass the day without her I was sent these pictures of her and her new friend.
